Smoother skin, where the lines have settled.

Linear marks from rapid stretching of the skin — red or purple at first, then fading to white. The pathway reads their stage first, because early and mature marks respond to different treatments.

What it is

Lines in the skin, read by stage.

Stretch marks are linear changes that develop when rapid stretching damages the collagen and elastin fibres in the skin. They appear first as reddish or purple lines and, over time, fade to whitish ones.

They commonly develop during pregnancy, rapid weight change or from hormonal factors, on the abdomen, thighs, breasts and buttocks. We assess the stage first — early striae rubrae and mature striae albae respond to different pathways.

"The earlier a stretch mark is read, the more the skin will answer. Stage guides everything that follows."
How it shows up

Signs patients actually describe.

If two or more of these sound familiar, a staged assessment will tell us how the marks will respond.

01

“Lines have appeared on my skin.”

New linear marks where the skin has stretched and the fibres have given way.

02

“They're red or purple.”

Early-stage striae rubrae, the most responsive phase to treat.

03

“Older ones have gone white.”

Mature striae albae, which improve with texture-and-colour pathways.

04

“The skin there looks thin.”

Stretched, thinned skin along the affected lines.

05

“They itch a little.”

Occasional itching or mild discomfort during the early stage.

06

“They bother me aesthetically.”

A common, treatable concern we stage and map to a pathway.

Why it happens

Drivers to consider.

It is rarely one factor. The pathway follows the stage and the driver identified at assessment.

TypeClinical nameWhat it looks likePathway
01Rapid stretching.Fast growth or weight change outpaces the skin's collagen and elastin.Microneedling
02Pregnancy changes.Skin stretches quickly and hormonally over the abdomen, breasts and thighs.Staged pathway
03Hormonal factors.Cortisol and other hormones weaken the skin's structural fibres.Assessment first
04Early vs mature stage.Red striae rubrae and white striae albae respond to different treatments.Laser / RF
05Suspected hormonal disorder.Widespread or unexplained striae are assessed medically — for example, for Cushing syndrome.Medical referral
Diagnostics first

Read the stage, then treat.

A stretch-mark visit begins with a close read of stage, extent and depth. The pathway matches the stage — early marks and mature marks are treated differently.

How we treat

Pathways, matched.

One aim: improve texture and colour by rebuilding collagen. The lead pathway remodels the skin; supporting pathways refine tone and support renewal.

Begin with a diagnosis.

A Beauté Concept specialist stages your stretch marks and designs the pathway accordingly. If a treatment is right for you, we plan it; if it is not, we tell you that too.
